Like I mentioned before, our stay was short and we had to leave to get back to the airport pretty early. But overall I'm so glad I stayed here. When Melanie heard that, she made an packed a lovely to-to breakfast which was much appreciated.Highly recommended! It's got a lot of character. The Alaska Heritage House is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed at, and I have traveled through Europe by B&B's alone. They owned it from 1924 through 1963. Highly recommended. The property is very cool and Telsie was a fantastic host.
I was blown away when I entered it and only wished I had more than one night to stay.
I'm going to let the pictures show how great this place is but I do want to note this is one of the oldest buildings in Alaska, built in the 1916s (I think) by a wealthy man to court a female to Fairbanks. Is parking available at Alaska Heritage House? Mr. & Mrs. Tarrio The innkeeper, Telsi made our visit so lovely. Breakfast is supposed to be served from 7:30 to 9:30 in the morning. She then left Fairbanks, by steamship, for Seattle in July of that same year never to be heard from again.
When I arrived, 5 hours before check-in time, Melanie rushed to clean my room for me so that I could settle into my room earlier. Breakfast was amazing.

Which popular attractions are close to Alaska Heritage House? Our host Melanie was delightful and made some of the tastiest breakfasts we have had on our holiday. My stay at Alaska Heritage B&B was one of the best travel experiences I have had. Some shipped from Europe decades ago. As a matter of fact, I did not even hear anyone else in the place. Valerie was super helpful and nice. She penned news articles and wrote features for special editions of the newspaper, which defined Alaska’s role in the war effort and helped raise funds to support a bed at the American Hospital in France. 13. This is a wonderful bed and breakfast! Friendly without being to talkative, helpful and lovely.

The location is good. It has been well kept and a great place to stay in Fairbanks. Everything was clean & comfortable, and it was a treat to have a pup like Mable to greet you. On the one morning I could have eaten breakfast, I emerged from my room at 7:20 a.m. and there was absolutely no one in the kitchen area so I skipped their breakfast and ate elsewhere. This wonderful B-N-B was awesome! There is also street parking. I went to work stuffed every morning and do not regret getting to know the other guests. 18. This room shared a bathroom with the Maids Room, and I didn't mind it for 1 night but the one complaint I have is that you have to constantly lock both the doors to the bathroom that enter into the 2 different rooms, and this lock was one of those metal sliding locks. 3. I am sure this would be a wonderful place to stay for the right person, just not for me. Mr. & Mrs.Egleston 1927-1936 Alaska B&B turned out to be the perfect choice. Great staff. As a matter of fact, I did not even hear anyone else in the place.
It is a nice, homey atmosphere, but it was not a good match for my needs. As a history lover, it was so fun to see how each room kept with the theme and time period of the person it was named for. Insbesondere der Frühstücksbereich ist liebevoll restauriert.

May not be motel 5 stars but is definitely a B&B 5 star. The beds are comfortable, rooms are beautiful, free wifi, and is within walking distance to downtown. Warning: if you stay in the master's bedroom, you're right next to the dining room so if people are loud over breakfast it will wake you up!
