On asking one staff member, we were told it is open "sometimes", usually 1 or 2 days on a weekend, but not always. Let us create a Rocky Mountain experience that changes you forever. Within an hour our bags were picked up and moved to a Lakeview Suite and it was PERFECT! We left a message with admin assistant for Marc Wawrin hotel managers office half hour after this happened (took 6 calls over 30 minutes for the regular phone line to be answered) on Oct 14 and still have not heard back. Since the opening of the mountain golf course in 1925, this jewel set deep in the heart of the Canadian Rockies has been the setting of unforgettable memories for all of those who come to play. It took 50 teams of horses and 200 men working together for a year in order to clear the land of boulders and debris to prepare it for what would become one of Canada's premiere golf courses.

Director of F&B, Normally I would not have considered this hotel because of their usual sky- high prices, but because of the currently reduced rates (two nights for the price of one, at least for Alberta residents) it became a possibility.
