This is the only toning product I would suggest when it comes to more subtle balayage/ombré.
Apply evenly to washed, towel-dried hair. However it's not bad color and I will use it up before buying vanilla maybe. While it definitely darkened the hair, it did nothing for warmth, and I would say even toned my lightest hair to a warm brown/reddish color. My highlights are still chunky but now not noticeable that the highlights are darker/closer to my natural hair color, which was exactly my goal and what I expected. I'm not upset as I obviously like redder hair too - but was disappointed that this product was advertised as cool. Only way to maintain my mahogany brown hair color. It kept my hair a nice even blonde and eliminated brassy tones. Beats other products that claim to tone your hair. I've been coloring my hair for about 25 years through a mix of semi/demi permanent, permanent, and color masks at home, as well as various treatments at the salon. After shampooing I apply this pretty generously and let it sit for about 5-7 minutes. It will wash out fairly quickly if you don't keep using it, and my fairly long hair will only get 3 uses out of the whole bottle. This works fabulously.
I have auburn hair that I had done into a caramel/honey balayage and I use the Latte shade to maintain natural wam tones but keep away the brassiness. I love how the blonde mask doesn't over tone my hair to purple. This mask is gentle and tones just the right amount. My stylist told me not to use box color for my auburn hair and instead try this in the color: Toffee. After 15 minutes on my head while I relaxed in the tub with a shower cap on- NOTHING. I decided it was time to finally experiment with my hair and lighten up my dark brown locks a little because why not.
I got this product in Plum and use it in between coloring, when I feel my color is not as vibrant any more. I probably should of went with vanilla instead. The smell isn't terrible, but isn't great either. I tried ALL of the Red shampoos and conditioners out there and NOTHING works as well as this! Gorgeous purple tone, now my color never fades!
Caramel: Toning treatment for blonde or light brown hair. This avoid mess and makes for easy clean up. (since the bottles reads to use this in lieu of conditioner).
I was hoping for something, anything from this. Highly recommend. It makes my hair soft and smooth and healthy looking too. I've tried it multiple times for different amounts of minutes and the result is...nothing.
It was terrible. We carry a variety beauty products: shampoos, conditioners, nail polishes, hair color, hair dyes, keratin treatments as well as hair dryers, flat irons & more. I then put it in clean dry hair and left it in for almost an hour and definitely saw a big difference. I left it on for twice the recommended time and saw zero difference in my hair. I love how it makes my hair vibrant and shiny, with a beautiful cool toned purple plum hue. I applied it once out of the shower after using an ACV rinse, steamed my head for ~20min to help the product really soak in, and left it on for probably about another hour. It worked amazingly well to bring my color back to life, and left my hair healthy. The Vanilla blonde toner saved me in quarantine. Found this product, and after looking through other reviews and answered questions, decided to go with Latte.
I use the pearl color mask to tone my blonde. I also use the Shampoo from the same brand, it's even more pigmented, but the conditioner is very conditioning, so that's why I love the conditioner maybe even more. I'm mesmerized by it. I don't think you have to leave it on that long to really get the full benefits, but I was desperate! As a trial, I first tried it on wet hair for about 30 min, and noticed some difference but not much. Didn't brightens, still had the brassy in my streak. I hate using purple shampoo because my hair always gets a muggy tone. I will definitely buy it again as it is a big part of my routine hair care now. It does a great job at conditioning and maintaining the beautiful rose gold shade. Right now I have some level 7-8 highlights from balayage. I had chunky highlights that were too blond and contrasted too much with my dark roots.
