I am working on a project of maglev train and want to build its physical model(as simple as it works) just to give an idea that this project is in working condition and also some mathematical modeling that will help me in my research paper So please if any one can help me in this project I.
Maglev (from magnetic levitation) is a system of train transportation that uses two sets of magnets: one set to repel and push the train up off the track, and another set to move the elevated train ahead, taking advantage of the lack of friction.Along certain "medium-range" routes (usually 320 to 640 km/h (200 to 400 mph)), maglev can compete favourably with high-speed rail and airplanes. Because the front tip of a high-speed train has a high pressure area and because a stagnation point occurs in the center of this region, the pressure of the stagnation point is equal to the dynamic pressure of the sensor tube based on the obtained train velocity. The objectives of this project are to model and control a laboratory-scale magnetic levitation system. a) Principle of magnetic levitation. We actually wanted to build a Maglev train . engineering applications include high-speed maglev trains, magnetic bearings and high-precision platforms. As we have only recently agreed upon this project idea, we have not yet determined the ultimate vision of our design project. A MagLev Train is a train that uses magnetic levitation to run without making contact with the ground or an electrical pickup. How could a train possibly move along the tracks without wheels?
I will have two tracks of magnets with the same polar side upwards, and the same polar side . Step 7: A few hints: The distance between the rails and the car must be as narrow as possible or the cars will slip out. The construction of the track with Lego pieces was a quick solution, but not perfect. Transrapid is a German-made technology designed to transport people on high-speed maglev lines. The line would have reached a top speed of 350km/h and delivered people from the airport to the centre of Munich in 10 minutes.
"A Maglev train car is just a box with magnets on the four corners," says Jesse Powell, the son of the Maglev inventor, who now works with his father. 46 Those kinds of speeds give engineers hope that the technology will prove useful for routes that are hundreds of miles long. Buy the styrofoam in 4' x 8' sheets at Home Depot or Lowe's, it's a lot cheaper. model is presented. As an extension, students can also investigate the use of magnetism as a . Prepare and print a one-page cost model for the project described in the Running Case, similar to the model provided in Figure 7-2. Siemens AG and ThyssenKrupp Transrapid GmbH were behind this project. In the Dream Big Maglev Train lesson, students designed a magnetic train system. The Shanghai Maglev track (guideway) was built by local Chinese companies who, as a result of the alluvial soil conditions of the Pudong area, had to deviate from the original track design of one . Next to the doors is shown the train itinerary with LED technology inside the glass. The magnets in maglev trains are superconducting and are cooled to 450°F, thus capable of generating magnetic fields up to 10x more durable than conventional electromagnets for pulling a train. Does a train without wheels sound crazy? and allow students to calibrate a maglev car in preparation for tournaments. In order to analyze the dynamic response of medium-speed maglev train in the speed range of 0-200 km/h, the suspension performance, suspended energy consumption, and riding comfort of the train stimulated by random track irregularities are discussed in this paper. Ideas to explore. But without a superconductor this was unfortunately impossible. maglev, also called magnetic levitation train or maglev train, a floating vehicle for land transportation that is supported by either electromagnetic attraction or repulsion. When I was thinking about what I would do for my final project, I dug up a memory from 7th grade in engineering class. Model available for download in 3D Studio format. When completely assembled, The train model is over 15.5 inches long.
